What are FlyMates?
While flocks handle group reciprocal testing, FlyMates are dedicated 1:1 testing partnerships between two developers. Send a request, get accepted, and test each other's apps over 16 days.
When to use FlyMates
- Your flock has fewer than 16 members and you need backup developers
- You want a dedicated partner for deeper, more focused feedback
- A flock mate dropped off and you need a replacement developer
- You want to test a specific category of app outside your flock
Browse & filter listings
Browse FlyMate listings by category (Education, Games, Productivity, etc.), language, and attributes like free apps or no sign-in required. Sort by:
- Newest — recently listed apps
- Most active — highest plain egg count (daily check-in reputation)
- Most helpful — highest golden egg count (feedback quality reputation)
The egg reputation system
Every TestFlock user has two egg balances visible on their profile:
- Plain eggs are awarded for daily check-ins — they measure activeness
- Golden eggs are awarded when feedback is reviewed as helpful (+1) or very helpful (+2) — they measure helpfulness
This dual system lets you choose partners based on what matters most: reliability or feedback quality.
